Once again company Director, Pete Everitt, will be taking on a cycling challenge to raise funds for The Children’s Hospital Charity – the charitable entity of Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

This will be the third ride Pete, who lives in Sheffield, has undertaken for the Charity after cycling from London to Paris in 2015, and then Paris to Geneva in 2018. This time the route is London to Amsterdam!

Along with 4 friends, Pete aims to raise at least £10,000 for The Children’s Hospital Development Appeal, funds from which are being split to 4 projects in the redevelopment of Sheffield Children’s Hospital – these are: a National Centre for Child Health Technology, a new Major Trauma Centre, a Child Assessment Unit, Cancer and Leukaemia Ward as well as a new Helipad.

Pete said, “I’m delighted to be able to take on another challenge for TCHC. Sheffield Children’s is such an iconic institution within our city, and such a valuable resource that all of us who are cycling have relied on in one way or another. It’s great to be able to contribute to the Hospital’s ongoing development.”

Pete also commented, “I’m pleased the route is a little flatter than Paris to Geneva, but 335 miles is still a heck of a long way – it’s going to be a challenge for sure!”

The ride itself takes place in June 2024, and the team are hard at work training and planning some fundraising events to hit their goal.

Donations are being accepted through the groups Justgiving Page. All donations are welcome!
